Why rounded corners need a PNG
The JPG format doesn't support transparency: save rounded corners as a JPG and the curves get filled with solid white, which sticks out the moment the file lands on any colored background. This tool always exports to PNG, so the corners stay genuinely transparent and the image sits cleanly on whatever is behind it — websites, slide decks, thumbnails, social media graphics.
From a subtle curve to a full circle
The slider sets the radius as a percentage of the shorter side: around 10–20% you get the soft "card" look common in modern interfaces, while at 100% the curves meet — on a square photo the result is a perfect circle, ideal for avatars and profile pictures. On rectangular images, 100% produces a pill shape, the kind often used for badges and buttons.
