Should you include the end date?
It depends on what you're measuring. Between the 1st and the 10th of a month there are 9 days of "distance," but if you book a rental from the 1st through the 10th, you occupy it for 10 days. For ages, deadlines, and countdowns you want the simple difference; for vacations, rentals, hotel stays, and billed workdays you also count the last day. The checkbox above lets you switch between the two conventions without redoing the math.
What the business-day count includes
The business-day count only considers Monday through Friday and excludes Saturdays and Sundays. It does not account for public holidays (such as July 4th or Thanksgiving) or company closures: if you need actual working days for a deadline or a delivery estimate, subtract by hand any holidays that fall on a weekday within your chosen range.
